SUMER is one of of Oldest Civilisations within the Modern Period.

Many Firsts of Society and Tradition developed in these Lands.

 

Before that of Pharaonic Egypt… Sumer was.

A place… full of the Olden Gods.

 

King Gilgamesh himself… was not an Olden God…

A Demi-God… he was.

From Sumer.

 

A Child of Divinity and of Earth.

A Parent from each realm.

He found refuge and solace… in neither… btw.

 

A Friend however… he found.

Both were evenly matched.

Both at their prime per se.

The Legends indicate strength, fitness, prowess…

…even male martial beauty of these Heroes… two.

 

Though touted as a Wildman sort,..

… Legendary Enkidu…

was not just that methinks.

 

(…Keep in Mind… here… He,.. Enkidu was sent by the

Olden Gods upon requests…

…repeated requests…

from the surrounding Populace;..

re K. Gilgamesh and antics associated…

with a then, corrupt,..

in body and soul… utter Tyrant… of a person…)

Anyways…

Enki…du

Enki.?.

 

A very very Olden God of Sumer… that is.

Ancient… even.

 

One of the Oldest recorded in Our World Legends btw.

Enkidu seems to be a Strong-man, Fighter, War

Combatant and such like… Prior.?.

Matches K. Gilgamesh for Battle strength,

Strategy and so forth during their tussle.

 

Took their first meet n greet Fight to a good draw…

which K. Gilgamesh was rather surprised about…

indeed.

 

May,.. too… maybe.?.

…no-one else stood up to him before etc.?.

An utter Tyrant… he was.

 

So the Legends say… prior… anyways.

Friends… now.

Gilgamesh and Enkidu continue to resonate,..

Seeking Truthful answers to… Life questions,..

…the Friends sought out… a Journey to the Gods.

By trekking across some very interesting Landscapes indeed,..

Being 2/3rds Divine was actually… no help to Gilgamesh.

Neither was his King…liness… and so on.

He was…

…prior to being so humbled… a Tyrant.

Who cared lil’.

 

An… utter,.. utter Tyrant it seems.

 

 

Ill tempered, brash, ignoble, rapacious and so forth.

 

Tyrannical… as well.

Main reason… the People and the Gods sent Enkidu etc etc.

Now though… a different stripe colored his tales.

A changed Man… King… also.

 

Seeking Wisdom… they first sought out… their Dreams.

Divine… or not.

Gilgamesh’s Dream it seems… To…

Dreamland.?. No…

…To Timberland it seems.

 

So onward the Heroes Enkidu and Gilgamesh trek.

To a Cedar Forest… of Trees… that is.

Seen in a… Dream.

Not Enkidu’s.

Cedar.

And… belonging to the… Olden Gods.

had no pressing reason to seek answers… from the Gods.

He liked Adventure,.. had met a Friend on his Journey;..

and was doing… just…

more of just that. Being Adventurer.

 

So… taking on the Evil Oversized Mountain Tall Sentry

Robot Terror Thingy that is and was the…

Olden God’s Forest Gatekeeper.

The GIANT Guardian Humbwaba:..

wasn’t part of the Deal…

 

for him.

Bar… humbug to that… that is… it seems…

he sayeth… as well.

So he,.. Enkidu… just… sat there.?.

it seems indeed. In deed and in fact… also.

Sat… and stared.

 

So these Legends say about their Sumer Journey Ways:..

In the Forest of the God’s.

Battle lines drawn… then erased.

 

By Friends… who became Giant Killers.

A World Legendary pair.

Heroes. Epic.

Heroes over Humbwaba.

 

That Giant Guardian would guard… no more.

 

 

 

Now also thru and thru,..

… sorta tired and sleepy.

‘Tis time for another of those dreamy Dreams…

A Divine Cedar Forest it seems indeed,..

…in deed and in fact… too.

So the Legends say.

 

Then… refreshed and with new Questions.

The Pair of…

 

Friends. Journey on.?.

…Victory.?.

or Bursting Bubbles.?.

… ’tis… on that Horizon it seems.

 

More so now, than…

just their simple Dreams.

 

After that o so Divine victory and smack-down.

On the Friends… journeyed on…
