Akin to the Military Orders of the time (click),..
…the Concept of Chivalry took into account several aspects of a Knight’s Duties and promoted them as Ideals.
These include Bravery in Battle, Weapon’s Skill-sets, Loyalty to the Ladies, a lil’ Obedience to King,..
…and…
…Total Obedience to GOD… (…their version of… thereof indeed…).
Knights were almost exclusively noble… and well funded.
Their Military commitments included such ongoing expenses as Men-in-waiting/-at-arms, Weapons and Armor,..
…one War-Horse at least… too.
(…btw…Sir Lancelot,.. the Knight with those most Human of characteristics…
…of Hope and Tragedy…
whose Lance… got around quite a lot.!. found another way.
He oft “…borrowed…” other Knights gear… and was oft unrecognised…
…at least till he started fighting anyway…)
Food, Drinks and Lodging as well perhaps, for all those so involved.
YOU CAN’T SIT THERE…
…CAN YOU.?.
The Table Round oft had one Seat… vacant.
Reserved for a Hero of Heroes.
A Knight of Heart Pure and Balanced Mind.
A Knight of the Grail.
The SIEGE PERILOUS… twas named.
Those who dared seat themselves in such a Chair without the requisite qualities…
…oft came to… peril…
…by dying at the same time.
…TAKE A SEAT… AT YOUR OWN PERIL INDEED IT SEEMS. LEGEND.
Reserved only for those who are or become a TRUE KNIGHT OF THE GRAIL.
In so doing,.. total understanding of the Grail Mysteries… was thus attained.
According to the LEGENDS… only two have qualified therein… thus far.
SIR(s)… PERCIVAL and GALAHAD.
Two LEGENDARY HEROES indeed it seems.
Taking a bow… and a Seat… too.
…THE LEGEND OF THE ROUND…
The Knight’s Tales (click) and the Grail LEGENDS therein and thereof… have long been told in many formats and style.

One that is directly linked to that Legendary Master Wizard…
…MERLIN himself.
Merlin,.. the Archetype Shaman Wizard.

With Seer abilities of past and present he could see.
Only LOOK… NO THING… NO THINK… simply OBSERVE ONLY. WATCHER BE.
As Counsellor to Uther Pendragon…(… a DRAGON KING…)…(click)
…who btw is King Arthur’s Father,..
…Merlin felt.?. and foresaw the need for a Balanced World…
… THUS the need for a Quest… THE HOLY GRAIL.
To further that end he set in motion a series of events.
The Table Round… a prime factor therein.
