Heart stills; the sight of her,

that so catches the breath.

 

Getting by in a world empty and cold

the dark side of men seen every night.

 

Thinking more and more,

finding  many easy ways to forget.

 

 

Am awake thru the early morning hours,

chasing cash, following my dream, enough of reasons.

 

What stays inside; laughing away despair.

 

Eyes so wise in a face so young,
